In March of 2011,  Dave had the idea that he and I should check out some local privately owned ethnic food restaurants in the Indianapolis area.  Armed with the search engine indyethnicfood.com, we set out  on this adventure.  As a hairstylist, I started sharing stories of our experiences from behind my chair at the salon.  It occurred to me  that Dave’s voice was not being heard, and so we agreed that we needed a format for us both to share our story.  In short, this blog was born.  Please enjoy our stories, but more importantly, go on some adventures yourselves, and share your stories with us.

  1. I have been reading Indianapolis restaurant blogs for years but I have never stumbled upon yours until now. I enjoyed the format and your few recent posts.

  2. Yeah – me too! You’ve tried some of the places my husband I have tried and based on that I felt like I could trust your opinions. BTW, Andrea, I’m the spicy one in our family too!

I am looking forward to reading more entries and trying some of your recommendations. I have a few that I could pass on to you as well, if you’d like to know about them.

Really like your storytelling styles and your posts are fun to read. Thanks!

    • Sorry about the slow response to your comments, we have been away. We are behind on a few posts, but we’ll get to them soon. We always welcome recommendations, so feel free to send them along. Thank you for reading our blog and taking the time to send us a note.

  3. Thanks for the response. A suggestion for future food adventures: Zydeco’s in Mooresville. It is Cajun and as good or better food than you’d find in NOLA. I know it isn’t food from another country – but is a different type of food.

  4. Hi Dave and Andrea, it’s Larry at Movoto. We asked an Indianapolis native to write a post on the top 15 Indianapolis restaurants and he included a few delicacies such as Red Lion Grog House’s Scotch Eggs and Papa Roux’s Po-Boys.

Thought this article might be a good resource for the both of you in your culinary endeavor. Feel free to share it with fans on your blog. 🙂
